about brightlight!

brightlight! was created in 1998 as a resource for mogwai fans. bl! has long been a group effort, with contributions coming in from fans all over the world, as well as the band themselves. if you have anything contribute - be it gig reviews, news, whatever - then please mail us.

legal issues

some materials used on the site, such as images and sound clips, are held under the copyright of their respective owners. in theory we are breaking the law by using them, but we like to think we are using them for the good of the band and we are certainly not gaining any personal benefit from it. if any legal representatives of the band or their record label disapprove of any of the site content, please contact rob so we can discuss the matter.

site design

the site was designed by tom houghton, heavily "influenced" by the "mogwai fear satan" cd cover design by adam piggot. the basic design hasn't changed since the site first went online in 1998.

the site should work fine in any browser, but please feel free to get in touch with any technical queries.

the writers

bl! was originally set up in early 1998 by thomas houghton.

rob strong joined bl! as a writer in 1999, having been a regular contributor since the site's inception. in august 2008, tom handed over ownership of the site to rob.

iain eglinton contributed regularly between 2004 and 2006.
