he puts as much blood and sweat into what he does as sigmund freud did. you
see, what, what sounds to you like a big load of trashy old noise, is infact
the brilliant music of a genius, myself (audience claps). and that music is
so powerful, that it's quite beyond my control and uh, when i'm in the grips
of it i don't feel pleasure and i don't feel pain, i just feel no emotions.

according to the official mogwai website, the source of this recording was a bootleg stooges video bought at a service station during a tour of the states in 1998. it had lots of great live footage and interviews, and this one was taken from a canadian talk show in the 60s/70s.
