encore: thanks ryan support from the twilight sad
from clifton tully: 11th time seeing the boys and have to admit satan, jesus and mfmk have never sounded better. the phoenix is the best venue i’ve ever seen the band play across the globe, they really crank it up to 11. from john harris: the last three songs were an amazing way to end the show. my 8th time seeing them and the first time they've played my father my king, someone in front of me videoed the whole song almost 25 minutes with the feedback ending. i found the sound great and loud but not as loud as usual in that i didn't need my earplugs which i have always used in the past. stuart mentioned before glasgow mega snake that they were going to hang out with franz ferdinand who were also playing in toronto (my brother was at that show). the boys were in great form and it was definitely the best mogwai show i've ever seen. the audience was great, you could have heard a pin drop, besides the bottle noise from the bar, during the quiet parts of songs like mogwai fear satan. i can't wait for buffalo tonight, the tralf is a really good venue. http://www.chromewaves.net/2009/05/mogwai-and-the-twilight-sad-at-the-phoenix-in-toronto/ http://www.chartattack.com/reviews/69292/mogwai
