    from isaac:

    fantastic set from the lads.

the set came alive with hunted by a freak and then just got better and better. the band seemed to really enjoy the show, and we got a nice wee extended noise-fest at the end of we're no here...like the good old days...barry and stuart left at the end tinkering away, with martin looking on from the sound desk....they then left the stage and we had this wall of noise for another 5 mins...feels a bit weird when there's all this nose but no-one on stage making it...

surprises for me was how good jim morrison sounded live...it was definitely one of the standouts for me, whereas scotlands shame didn't sound as good as i thought it would. the venue was really nice, and the crowd was really into it..i believe it was a sell-out - there certainly didn't seem to be much room left.

during the end of we're no here, barry was playing with what looked like a little palm pilot or some little computer-looking device. he used it to make some pretty groovy noises. i couldn't really see exactly what it was cause he was standing with his back to us while he was doing it. but he was getting some noises the chemical brothers would have been proud of out of the thing...any idea what it was? the impression i got was that it was some new toy he'd bought and was trying it out...

    now bring on melbourne....

the 'little computer' was a nintendo ds with a korg synth simulator.

    from taz:

top show! but i think i must have been deaf before they even started because it seemed like the sound was a bit low and i could hardly hear barry on jim morrison. even so, all the songs sounded great, and i can't really single any of them out. but obviously hearing the new album songs for the first time was a highlight for me. it was also my first time hearing like herod live. if i was to be a little greedy with the setlist, something from come on die young would have made it on, or i would have loved the return of ratts. but definitely not complaining here. the boys may have been a little jet-lagged but they still put on an amazing show!
