thanks suprefan and jonny mogwai should have played the 'bullet' stage, 19:05 - 19:55, but the start of the festival was delayed by four hours due to torrential rain.
from stuart: our show was a bit sketchy but watching the bunnymen and the new york skyline from side stage was magical. great to catch up with w sargeant. from dominic: weird show tonight, awesome view of statue of liberty from stage, eclipsed only by barry's level 10 onstage shit fit due to broken amp. from nj.com: back on the second stage, scottish five-piece mogwai serenaded the soggy with droning pieces of instrumental post-rock. the band is heavy on the guitars, building reverberative cosmic noise piece-by-piece, with martin bulloch's drums dictating the pace. also from nj.com: we're not sure if we would consider mogwai's music the most romantic in the world... maybe that would be barry white or sade. but the scottish ambient-rock band sure brought out the love, as fans swayed back and forth, as if in a trance by the, well, trance-like music during today's set at the all points west music and arts festival. from hitfix.com: tool was loud, my bloody valentine was louder, but i'll be damned: scottish instrumental shoegazers mogwai were loudest.
