finally saw mogwai live for the first time last night, i'm completely blown away. they opened with superheroes of bmx, and it was all over after that. ganger opened and put on a great show themselves.

i saw mogwai last night at the black cat and they were completely smashing... it makes me wonder what they know about the world that i don't. i mean, the show at once frightened me, elated me, and forced me to question some serious musical issues (such as: can a band have stage presence without having stage presence? and can a flute really rock?). they closed with "like herod" which totally blew everyone away, and as an encore performed...crap, i don't even remember, but it seemed almost like an afterthought that was pretty, but in my view unnecessary.
